– Steven Wright
I’m Steven Wright, but you can all call me Steve. I’d like to thank you for visiting my website. I’m assuming that, because you’re here, you’d like to know a bit about me and my background, so allow me to tell you about who I am and why I’m asking that you vote for me as your representative in Congress.
I grew up in Kern County, California, a very conservative area. I spent my 30-year law enforcement career working for the Kern County Sheriff’s Office. During this time, I witnessed the California legislature implementing Democratic policies, resulting in an influx of criminal statutes that appeared to prioritize financial gains over the well-being of the people. These “progressive” ideologies, in my view, represented failed experiments, fostering an environment that encouraged criminal activities, emboldened criminals, and left victims without closure.
I felt compelled to not only push back against these dangerous policies personally, but also protect the things I held dear – the same reasons my family moved to Texas, 6 years ago – core values now under assault from similar proposals. Issues such as defunding the police compromise public safety and undermine the morale and staffing levels of law enforcement officers, leading to the neglect of basic responsibilities by prosecutors.
I decided to step forward as a candidate, risk my name, and vigorously combat misguided “progressive” policies threatening communities like those already enabling criminals and eroding quality of life back in California against all common sense. Law and order represents an essential pillar required for families and businesses to safely thrive.
I urge you, fellow Texans and patriots… Do not allow your politicians to make the same mistakes that were made in California. Vote for Steven Wright and help me protect our state and its children.
Sincerely,
Steven Wright
